Resort Policies at Sunset Pines MN

Resort Policy:

Arrival for all Campsites, Camping Cabins, Glamping Cabins, and Cabins is at 2pm. Departure times vary: Cabins at 10am, Camping and Glamping Cabins at 11am, and Campsites at 12 noon. Our rates are based on 4 guests per accommodation (except Camping Cabin 2, which accommodates 2 guests). An extra guest fee applies: $15/guest/night for Cabins and Camping Cabins, and $10/guest/night for RV sites. Please observe the 10 MPH speed limit on Resort grounds starting at the Dump Station. Ensure that your chosen site is suitable for your RV; if it does not fit, we may not be able to accommodate you. Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day weekends require a 3-night minimum stay, and no Saturday arrivals or departures are allowed. Each site accommodates one camping vehicle (RV, tent, camper) and one passenger vehicle. Tents are not permitted at camping cabins. Boat trailers must be parked in the designated trailer lot, not on sites. Pets are welcome! Please refer to our Pet Policy for details. Visitors are also welcome, but please check our Visitor Policy for specific guidelines. Guests are responsible for supervising children and visitors at the resort. Smoking or vaping is prohibited in Cabins, Camping Cabins, or the Lodge. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 9 am; we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a family-friendly environment. Pets are allowed in Camping Cabins, Glamping Cabins, and Campsites with a pet fee of $30/pet/night for Camping Cabins and Glamping Cabins. One RV/tent/camper is permitted per site, and while some instances allow tents on RV sites for a nightly fee, please confirm beforehand. ATVs and ORVs are welcome but must remain on trailers or in the designated ATV parking area—use to and from sites is prohibited. Scooters, hoverboards, and minibikes are not allowed on Resort grounds. Golf carts are permitted, but guests must provide proof of insurance before use, and only licensed drivers may operate them. We also offer a Golf Cart rental for those needing assistance. Watercraft paddles and shuffleboard paddles can be checked out at the Lodge. We reserve the right to modify camping cabin/site/cabin assignments as necessary. Our credit card processing company charges a fee, but cash and checks are accepted to avoid this charge. Early arrivals and late departures may incur additional fees.

Deposit Policy:

To secure your reservation, a deposit of 25% of the total lodging or camping reservation is required. We accept Visa and MasterCard for your convenience.

Cancellation Policy:

As a destination campground/resort, we cannot rely solely on drop-in traffic to fill vacancies, making it challenging to accommodate last-minute cancellations. Please note that ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE VIA PHONE and not electronically. Deposits will be refunded (minus a $15 cancellation fee) for cancellations made 30 days or more from the reservation date. Cancellations made within 30 days will receive a refund of their deposit (minus $15) only if the unit/site is re-booked; otherwise, the reservation holder is financially responsible for the entire reservation. No-shows will be charged for their complete reservations, and no-pays will be forwarded to collections. We cannot be held liable for weather, illness, work conflicts, or other situations, and our cancellation policy remains in effect regardless of the circumstances.

Visitor Policy:

Visitors are welcome from 8 am to 10 pm, with a visitor fee of $8/day. Visitors must register and pay in the office; otherwise, an appropriate fee will be charged to the registered guest they are visiting. All visitors must park in the extra vehicle parking area. Each site allows one vehicle, and additional parking is available for extra vehicles, but no parking is permitted on empty sites. Boat and ATV trailers should be parked in their designated areas.

ATV/ORV Policy:

ATVs and ORVs are welcome but must remain on their trailers or in the designated ATV parking area. These vehicles are not permitted to travel to and from cabins or campsites and must stay parked in the designated area.

Pet Policy:

All pets must be leashed AT ALL TIMES and attended to at all times. If a barking dog is left unattended on a guest’s site, a $25.00 fee will be added to the guest’s tab at the lodge, with no warnings issued. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets are welcome in Camping Cabins, Glamping Cabins, and Campsites, with a pet fee of $30/pet/night for these cabins. However, pets are not allowed in the following Cabins: Burr Oak, Garden View, Lake View, Red Pine, and White Pine.
